Your life. Your pace.
Return whenever you need
Why this exists
Most conversations about pregnancy begin when pregnancy begins: folic acid, appointments, scans, what to eat and what not to. Matamala wants to move the conversation earlier, to the season before, when two people are bringing their bodies, habits, homes, stress and nourishment into the possibility of creating another human being.
Preparing for a baby can easily become another project of optimisation: another list of things to buy, eliminate, test and perfect. Wellness was supposed to help — instead it’s become another source of pressure. Before Parenthood brings that same quiet approach to one of life's biggest chapters, for both partners.
The Before Parenthood guide does the opposite. It doesn’t ask you to buy more, test more or perfect more. Before Parenthood is for anyone thinking about trying for a baby — beginning soon, taking months to prepare, or simply wanting to understand what they can do differently — and for the partner beside them. It offers a clear, unhurried way to prepare the environment before you create the life.

How it works
84 digital pages · Six practical seasons · At your own pace
There is no correct order. Begin where you need to — the home, your sleep, your water, your cycle — stay with an area for as long as it takes, and return whenever you like. The goal is not completion. It is integration.
One season at a time
Season One
Come back to the body. Slow down, observe, understand your starting point and begin listening to what your body is telling you.
Season Two
Create space. Look at unnecessary exposures in the home, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, personal care routine and daily life.
Season Three
Give the body what it needs. Build a foundation around food, minerals, protein, healthy fats, hydration, digestion and sustainable daily nourishment.
Season Four
Know your biology. Learn about cycles, ovulation, sperm health, thyroid function, hormones, medications, nutrition and the questions worth asking a clinician.
Season Five
Change the pace. Create conditions for sleep, circadian rhythm, movement, recovery, connection and a calmer nervous system.
Season Six
Prepare the life around the baby. Bring the changes together and prepare the home, partnership, values, routines and mindset for parenthood.
